Sandford is a village in Lanarkshire, a mile and a half south-east of the town of Strathaven. The village stands by a stream, the Kype Water, which enters the Avon Water just to the east of Sandford. The Kype water in its day powered a mill below the village, below which and just above the Avon, is a water fall, the Spectacle E'e Falls.

The village has about 50 houses and 200 inhabitants. Sandford also has two parks and a bus shed. The mill is one of the oldest mills in Avondale.
