Information |
The Meiklewood House Bridge is a private bridge which carries a farm track across an upper reach of the River Forth to Meiklewood House, a country house standing snug in a tight loop of the river to the north-east of Gargunnock.
The river here, and for some miles upstream and downstream, marks the border between Perthshire to the north and Stirlingshire to the south. Meiklewood House in its loop is on the south side of the Forth, in Stirlingshire (and in the parish of Gargunnock). To the north across the river is a farm called Easter Ross in the Parish of Kincardine, Perthshire.
