Henllys-fawr is a tiny place to the north of Aberffraw on Anglesey, close to the south-west coast of the island. Its name means 'Great Old Court'.

The Welsh-language story writer W J Griffith came from here, and in 1938, T Rowland Hughes compiled a volume of Griffith’s most famous tales under the title Storïau'r Henllys Fawr.[1]
