Overton Scar

Overton was a village in Cheshire, a mile north-west of the little town of Malpas. Though the village has gone, it gives a name to number of locations in what ws its parish including Overton Hall and Overton Manor, Overton Heath (now in part a small nature reserve), and Overton Scar, an escarpment north-west of the Hall.

The deserted village site os now a Scheduled Ancient Monument.[1][2] The only remains to be seen today are earthworks.
