Portpatrichk Harbour, Wigtownshire

Portpatrick

Portpatrick is a village on the west coast of the Rhinns of Galloway in Wigtownshire. It looks out on the North Channel, across which lie the counties of Ulster, twenty-one miles to the west. The village is cut into a cleft in steep cliffs and was built adjacent to Dunskey Castle, now in ruins,

Portpatrick's position on the Rhinns of Galloway affords visitors views of the coast of Ulster, and cliff-top walks and beaches both to the north and south. (Read more)
