Maghera

Maghera is a town in County Londonderry. A place of almost four thousand souls, it is a commercial and educational hub for the surrounding villages of Swatragh, Tobermore, Upperlands, Gulladuff and Knockcloghrim.

The name of the town is from the Irish language, Machaire Rátha meaning "Plain of the ringfort". (Read more)
