Ashculme is a village in Devon, in the Blackdown Hills on a minor stream which half a mile south of the village falls into the River Culme. It is in the east of the county, with the border of Somerset just a mile or two to the north and to the east.

The nearest village of any size is Hemyock a mile to the south.

A mile and a half to the north is Wellington Hill on the Somerset county border, with the lofty Wellington Monument, just across in Somerset, dominating the view.
