Fan Brycheiniog

Fan Brycheiniog is the highest peak in the Black Mountain region of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The summit, at 2,631 feet, stands in Brecknockshire, while a subsidiary top to the north-west, Fan Foel at 2,562 feet, is the highest point of Carmarthenshire.

The mountain is within the "Fforest Fawr Geopark" designated in recognition of the area's geological heritage. The Beacons Way, a waymarked long distance footpath forks near the mountain, with one option passing over the summit and along the long ridge. (Read more)
