Woodend is a hamlet in Cumberland to be found between the Dunnerdale, and the village of Ulpha and Eskdale, a valley to the north. It stands high up on Birker Fell, approximately 950 feet above sea level.

Woodend is claimed to have been an early Quaker settlement.

The village has views towards Scafell Pike, and is very close to Devoke Water, one of the Lake District tarns.
