Stubb Place is a tiny hamlet, barely noticed by maps, in the south of Cumberland, on Tarn Bay on the coast of the Irish Sea. The shoreline off the bay is part of the Eskmeals Range, a military firing range.

The hamlet is within the Lake District National Park, which comes down to the sea just for these few miles.
