Stainton with Adgarley is a small village in northern Lancashire, on the Furness Peninsula about five miles from Dalton-in-Furness. It is a small farming community.

The dual name appears to come from the joining of adjacent hamlets, as today Stainton Green Farm to the west adjoins Adgarley Farm to the east, and Stainton Head Farm is a couple of hundred yards up the hill westward.
