Wootton is a village in western Kent, near Dover.
The village once had a Baptist chapel, linked to the Eythorne Baptist Church group.
Lydden Hill Race Circuit, famed worldwide and known as the "Home of Rallycross", is located near Wootton village.
This was the birthplace of the mathematician and surveyor Leonard Digges, who some claim invented a functioning telescope at some time between 1540 and 1559.
