Gilmanscleuch is a tiny hamlet on the north bank of the Ettrick Water in Selkirkshire, on a narrow river-side plain at the foot of Black Knowe Head. The Gilmanscleuch Burn joins the Ettrick Water just downstream.

The hamlet is on the B7009 road, its only link to the wider world, which follows the river down to Selkirk. A bridge crosses the river here to farms on the opposite bank.
