Windydoors is a tiny but delightfully named hamlet in Selkirkshire on a minor lane up into the hills, off a minor road that runs between the valleys of the River Tweed and the Gala Water above their junction.

The hamlet is by the Caddon Water. The nearest town is Galashiels, four miles to the south-east.
