Freshwater East is a seaside village in Pembrokeshire. The majority of the village is located on the cliff overlooking the bay. It is about two miles south of Lamphey and seven miles from the county town, Pembroke by road. In the valley there is a holiday park called Trewent Park (grid reference SS016984).[1]
There are few services in Freshwater East apart from an inn and a twice-daily bus service[2] to Pembroke and the surrounding villages.
Its best-known natives are the indie band Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, whose founder members grew up in the village.
Freshwater East is the site of a Green Coast Award Beach.[3]
The beach also is host to The Big Draw - art drawn on the beach along with natural items.
