Saxtead Green is a tiny, inland village of eastern Suffolk, fourteen miles from the coast at Aldeburgh. It is just south of Saxtead itself, a smaller village, and northwest of the town of Framlingham.

The village is to be found beside the A1120 and the B1119 roads. Its main feature is the Saxtead Green Post Mill, a late eighteenth century windmill, much restored in the twentieth century and in the care of English Heritage.

The course of a Roman road runs through the centre of the village from the north-east, and continues south-westwards from Saxtead Green as the A1120.
