East Calder is a small town in Midlothian, about a mile east of Mid Calder and about a mile west of Wilkieston.

East Calder has a small range of local shops (an estate agent, two general stores and a post office/convenience store, two pubs, a café and various takeaways and beauty parlours amongst other things. An industrial estate called Camps is located on the edge of the town.
