Stone Street near Stelling Minnis, Kent
As a path near Whitfield

Stone Street was a minor Roman road in eastern Kent. It ran due south for some 12 miles from Watling Street at Canterbury (the Roman Durovernum) to Lympne (Lemanis) at the western edge of the Romney Marsh.

Most of the route of this road is now the B2068 road that runs from the M20 motorway to Canterbury.

The name of the road, needless to say, is plain English, not derived from a Latin original. What the Romans called the road is unknown.
