Eas Chia-aig is a beautiful Highland waterfall on the Chia-aig river, in Inverness-shire. The falls are to be found between Loch Lochy and Loch Arkaig, near Achnacarry and Clunes.
The waterfall stands above the end of the 'Mile Dorcha' or 'Dark Mile' near Loch Arkaig. It features a double level in which water from Abhainn Chia-aig falls into a pool known as the 'Witch's Cauldron'.
Access to the fall is by a short walk from the nearby car park, from which the footpath leads to upper fall just quarter of a mile away. The best known feature is the double fall, which has featured on fil, with other falls further upstream. The double-fall can be seen from the main road on the approach to Loch Arkaig.
Miscellany
The double-fall of Eas Chia-aig was used as the location for a scene in the film Rob Roy.
