Clothall is a small village in Hertfordshire. With just 358 folk in 2001, it is combined with neighbouring Luffenhall for a civil parish.

Clothall is found 2¼ miles south-east of Baldock,

The parish church is St Mary the Virgin, which was built of flint and stone around 1350–70,[1] though parts of the church are older, dating to the 12th century.[2] The author Thomas Stanley was born in Clothall in 1625 and is buried in the church.[3]
