Buff Island is a small island south-west of the Joubin Islands, themselves off the south-west point of Anvers Island in the Palmer Archipelago of the British Antarctic Territory. The island lies west of the Bismarck Strait.
The island was charted and named 'Buffoon Island' by the British Graham Land Expedition in January 1935. It was recharted by a Royal Navy Hydrographic Survey Unit in 1956-58.
