Loch Spey

Loch Spey is a small, shallow freshwater loch in Inverness-shire. It lies in a basin in the mountains in the centre of the county, and from it issues the infant River Spey. It is about twelve and a half miles up from the Spey Dam and 116 miles from the North Sea.

The loch is small; only 350 yards long by 200 yards wide, wide and is shallow with many weed beds. It is found 18 miles west of Newtonmore and three miles from Melgarve.

The loch has native fish, including trout and minnows.
