The Lackagh River is one of the shorter rivers in County Donegal, just two miles long, flowing over moorland from the foot of Glen Lough north-westwards out to Sheephaven Bay.
This is a river where anglers may find salmon and brown trout. Fish stocks declined in the first years of the twenty-first century but have since recovered.
