The Desolata Lakes are a group of three lakes at approximately 650 feet altitude, south of Mills Peak on the Barff Peninsula of South Georgia.
The lakes are named in association with the Pachyptila Valley, after the Antarctic Prion (Pachyptila desolata). The scientific name refers to the typically desolate environment that supports these birds.
