Chepstow is a town in southeastern Monmouthshire, adjoining the boundary with Gloucestershire. It stands on the River Wye, close to its meeting with the River Severn.

The dominant sight of Chepstow is its castle; the oldest surviving stone castle in Britain. It is known too for Chepstow Racecourse which hosts the Welsh Grand National.
