Moortown is a village in a diffuse rural area in the north-east of Tyrone, standing on the western shores of Lough Neagh, beside Ballinderry and Ardboe. The village is relatively close to three little towns; Magherafelt, Dungannon and Cookstown, the latter in County Londonderry.
Places of interest include Kinturk Cultural Centre, Coyles Cottage, the @air-drome, the Battery Harbour and the Ardboe High Cross.
