Muckton Wood is a small area of woodland about half a mile south of Muckton in Lincolnshire. Since 1983 it has been in the care of the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, who keep it as a nature reserve.[1]
The wood is described as ancient semi-natural woodland on a boulder clay soil. Oak and ash are the dominant trees with abundant field maple, aspen on the wood margins and alder in the wetter areas.
