The Luitpold Coast is the portion of the coast of Coats Land in the British Antarctic Territory extending from the vicinity of Hayes Glacier, at 27° 54' W, to 36° W, which is regarded as the east limit of the Filchner Ice Shelf.
This coastland was discovered by Wilhelm Filchner, a Bavarian sailor and leader of the German Antarctic Expedition of 1911-12. He named it Prinzregent-Luitpold-Land after Luitpold, Prince Regent of Bavaria.
