The templates may be used in a where the riding is specified with a parameter |riding= or with {{#vardefine}}:

  • In the examples below "East", "East Riding" or "East Riding of Yorkshire"
or for places within the walls of the York, and therefore outside any of the three ridings
  • "York", "City of York", "Within the walls", "York within the walls"
