Llanllyfni

Llanllyfni is a small village in Caernarfonshire, near Penygroes, and seven miles from the county town, Caernarfon. The river River Llyfni runs through the village.

This is largely Welsh-speaking and close-knit village, which grew when the Dorothea slate quarry was opened in the 1820s: the flooded workings lie by the village.

Llanllyfni enjoys stunning views towards the Menai Straits, Anglesey and up the Nantlle Valley. (Read more)
