Cumberland ward in Cumberland

Cumberland Ward is one of the wards of Cumberland. It is situated in the centre of the county, bounded to the north-west by the Solway Firth; to the north-east by Eskdale Ward; to the south-east by Leath Ward; and to the south-west by Allerdale below Derwent Ward.

The hundred comprises the ancient parishes of:

*: Townships of Blencogo and Dundraw, Kelsick and Wheyrigg; Remainder in Allerdale below Derwent Ward.
: Township of Middlesceugh and Braithwaite in Leath Ward.
: Townships of Cargo and Stainton. Remainder in Eskdale Ward.
§: Township of Woodside. Remainder in Allerdale below Derwent Ward.

The ward had a population of 87,866 in 2011.
