Little Wormwood Scrubs
Playground in the park

Little Wormwood Scrubs is a park in Kensal Green, in Middlesex and deep within the metropolitan conurbation. It was originally part of the larger commonland of Wormwood Scrubs but became cut off physically by the railway and its embankment.

Counter's Creek, a now subterranean stream that rises in Kensal Green, flows south through the park, on its way to join the River Thames.

History

The park was originally part of Wormwood Scrubs, and separated in the 1840s when the railway embankment of the West London Line was built.[1]

In 1870 the north-west part of the land was exchanged for land to the south-east;[2]
