Llyn y Dywarchen

Llyn y Dywarchen is a mountain tarn in Caernarfonshire, enfolded within Snowdonia. It lies at SH560534 in the valley east of Snowdon, by the tiny village of Rhyd Ddu, on the road to Penygroes.

To the north is a northern outcrop of the Beddgelert Forest and beyond it Llyn Cwellyn. To the south of Llyn y Dwwarchen rises Y Garn (2,080 feet), but the view is dominated by Snowdon to the northeast, its peak rising to 3,560 feet.
