Kimberley is a village in Norfolk, standing on the banks of the River Tiffey.

It is a small place which shares a civil parish with Carleton Forehoe. Kimberley is about 3 miles north-west of Wymondham, standing around the crossroads of the B1108 and B1135.

Kimberley is served by rail, as the Kimberley Park railway station is on the Mid-Norfolk Railway which runs between East Dereham and Wymondham.

Kimberly is home to Kimberley Hall, a house whose grounds were designed by Capability Brown.

Peerage

Earl of Kimberley is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created for John Wodehouse (1826 –1902) a politician who served in every Liberal ministry in the Victorian Age from 1852 to 1895 and who became 1st Earl of Kimberley because his local links here. Wodehouse served as Foreign Secretary and as Secretary of State for the Colonies and in the latter capacity he had the mining town of Kimberley in the Cape Colony named after him.
