East Lomond or Falkland Hill is a hill in Fife; the second of the two prominent peaks of the Lomond Hills along with West Lomond. Standing at 1,391 feet, it is about 320 feet lower than West Lomond, to which it is joined by the ridge of the Lomond Hills
East Lomond rises steeply immediately to the south of the town of Falkland, from which it takes its alternative name. It stands over the town dramatically, its tumulescent shape dominating the view delightfully.
Atop the hill is trig point. A viewing point to the east of the summit looks out over the shallower slopes and down to Glenrothes.
A good circular walk may be had from Falkland to the top and back, including a walk through the woods of the Bluebrae Plantation and a steep climb up to the top. At one point a path on the longer circular walk runs beneath an overhanging waterfall.
