Shebbear Hundred is one of the hundreds of Devon, located in the north-west of the county. It is bounded to the south-west by Black Torrington Hundred; to the west by Hartland Hundred; to the north-east by Fremington Hundred; and to the south-east by North Tawton and Winkleigh. At the mouth of the River Taw is a short border with Braunton Hundred. It had a population of 37,476 in 2011.
