The Wirral Hundred is one of the hundreds of Cheshire, located in the north-west of the county. It is named after the Wirral peninsula which forms the majority of its area. It is bounded to the east by the Mersey estuary; to the west by the Dee estuary; to the south-west by Flintshire; to the south by Broxton Hundred; and to the south-east by Eddisbury Hundred. It is the second-most populous of the hundreds, after Macclesfield Hundred, with a population of 418,379 in 2011.
