Spittal is a village and parish that lies approximately halfway between Haverfordwest and Fishguard, near the village of Wolf's Castle in Pembrokeshire. Its name is a corruption of the word Hospital, which is also the root of such names as Spitalfields, London, Spital, Cheshire, Spital-in-the-Street, Lincolnshire, etc.: the village possessed a hospitium (place of accommodation for pilgrims) belonging to the Cathedral of St David's.[1] No trace of this remains.

Scolton Manor is a former Victorian country house converted into a museum of Pembrokeshire life. It is a grade II* building.[3]
