Woonton is a tiny village in western Herefordshire, on the the A480 Kington to Hereford road.
Woonton stands five miles south-east of Kington, and a mile east of Almeley, a village scarcely larger. Also just to the west is Wootton, similarly named but apparently unrelated in name.
