Witte Nunataks

The Witte Nunataks rise to about 4,265 feet between the Sweeney Mountains and the Hauberg Mountains inland of the Orville Coast in southern Palmer Land in the British Antarctic Territory.
Thse oiutcrops were photographed from the air by the United States Navy in 1965-67, and mapped from air photographs by the United States Geological Survey. They are named after Paul Frank Witte, US Antartctic Research Program construction mechanic at "Eights Station" in the winter of 1964.
