Withleigh is a small village and parish in the midst of Devon, two and a half miles west of Tiverton, along the B3137, above the valley of a little river known as the Dart; not the well known river of that name in south Devon but a tributary of the River Exe. The main hamlet forming the knot of the village is known as Higher Withleigh.

The parish church is St Catherine's,[1] a Grade II listed building.[2] It was built in 1846 by John Hayward of Exeter.
