Ware Cliffs are a set of long cliffs on the south coast of Devon which stretch to the border of Dorset by the town of Lyme Regis in the latter county, from the Devon hamlet of Ware.
The cliffs are situated near Pinhay Bay, on the Devon-Dorset border. The highest point on Ware Cliffs is the 'Black Ven', which reaches a height of approximately 450 feet.[1]
There have been a notable amount of fossils found along the beaches of the Ware Cliffs in the past few years.[2] The cliffs are expected to have been formed in the early Jurassic period. Its approximate age is estimated to be around 199-189 million years old.
