Uyeasound is a village on the Isle of Unst, the northernmost island of the Shetland archipelago. It takes its name from the neighbouring strait of the same name, Uyea Sound, which looks over to the Isle of Uyea
Uyeasound is home to Greenwell's Booth, a Hanseatic warehouse and Muness Castle. To the east of Uyeasound, across the ayre which separates Easter Loch from Uyea Sound, is the settlement of Clivocast. Muness Castle lies further east on the same road.
The name Uyeasound is also given to the farmstead in Aithsting parish opposite the island of Vementry, which is more usually known as Vementry Farm. It is also on Uyea Sound, hence its use of the name.
