WEST MIDLANDS AA

Staffordshire, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire are the three counties that have been broken up administratively by the 'West Midlands' authority which serves the Birmingham area. This is a heavily populated area and so it is incredibly complicated to look for boundaries. The West Midlands AA is split up into seven districts, which are then split up into wards. Fortunately some of the districts are completely in one county, whereas some have been split.

#3 Caernarfonshire

Most of Caernarfonshire and Merioneth are governed by Gwynedd AA. For gathering the data for these two counties I decided to use Middle-Sized Output Areas (MSOAs) instead of the usual wards. This is because the county had many very small wards due to it's size and lack of population. Only four MSOAs cover Merioneth, the rest cover Caernarfonshire; apart from in one case where one MSOA covers most of Caernarfonshire and the village of Llanfrothen (and surrounding countryside) which is actually in Merioneth. MSOAs are not named, they are just numbered, and have between 4-10 wards in them each.
