Information |
Trematon Hall is a grand house at Trematon in south-eastern Cornwall, just south of Saltash. It stands beside the ruins of Trematon Castle, built in the twelfth century, and within its courtyard enclosed by a long curtain wall.
The castle was in time abandoned. Tremanton Hall was built in about 1808 in the grand Georgian style. It has four reception rooms and six main bedrooms, as well as servants' quarters.
Part of the original castle wall was demolished to give the house a view into the surrounding countryside.
The house is today a Grade II listed building.[1]
