Thrushelton is a tiny village in the west of Devon about five miles from the border of Cornwall; a clutch of houses and a church and little more. It is not on the River Thrushel as its name suggests, though a stream running by the village flows north to that river.
This village is a mile north of Lewtrenchard in no notable location but a meeting of lanes, though its church, St George's, serves a wider parish encompassing several farms and hamlets from Lewdown north across the A30 trunk road to the edge of Roadford Lake.
