St HelierSt Helier is the only town on the island of Jersey. St Helier has a population of about 28,000; roughly 31.2% of the total population of the island. The town is in the Parish of St Helier, although some of the town area spreads into adjacent St Saviour, and what passes for suburban sprawl on this little isle spreads into St Lawrence and St Clement. St Helier is the capital of the island, although Government House in fact stands in the Parish of St Saviour. (Read more) |
