Roscrea

Roscrea is a historic market town and parish in County Tipperary; a place of something over five thousand souls. Its main industries include meat processing and pharmaceuticals. It is one of eleven civil parishes in the barony of Ikerrin.

The town is one of the oldest in Ireland, having developed around the ancient monastery of Saint Crónán of Roscrea, parts of which remain preserved today. Roscrea is a designated Irish Heritage Town due to the extent of important historical buildings preserved in the town. (Read more)
