Providenciales Providenciales is an island at the western end of the chain of the Caicos Islands. It is the most populous island of the Turks and Caicos Islands. The east of the island has become thickly populated though its western half of is mostly barren wilderness and here is the Chalk Sound National Park, the islands' best natural attraction: a bay 3 miles long with turquoise water studded with countless mushroom-like tiny islets, and the Northwest Point Marine National Park. Most of the island's services are near the Highway, the island's main road, including upscale shopping malls. (Read more)
