Poole HarbourPoole Harbour is a large natural harbour in Dorset, of some 15 square miles but almost enclosed at its mouth, providing a capacious sheltered water. On its shore stands the town of Poole. Though large, the harbour is extremely shallow; an average of 18 inches, with a main dredged channel through the harbour, from the mouth to Holes Bay.
